FITTING
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE:
When fitting faucets onto
stainless steel sinks, it is difficult to keep the faucet in
place while tightening stem nuts, and making sure that the
faucet does not crawl on the stainless steel sink after
installation. SPLITKLICK Top Hat nylon splitting
washers solves both problems. The patented gripping
teeth on the TOP-HAT washer grip the stainless steel and
keep the faucet in place permanently keeping the faucet from
crawling and scratching the stainless steel surface.
Place
the faucet into the holes on the stainless steel sink.
From the under side of the sink, slide the SPLITKLICK Top
Hat nylon splitting washer up the stem of the faucet and
tighten the back nut. The patented gripping surface will
keep the faucet from moving (crawling) on the stainless
steel sink.
REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Another
problem with regular top hat washers is that they are made
from acrylic, which harden, crack, and wear out allowing the
faucet to become loose and crawl and scratch the stainless
steel surface. Normal replacement of TOP-HAT washers
requires turning off the water and removing the water lines
from the facuet.
With
SPLITKLICK Top Hat nylon splitting washers, the washer "klicks-apart"
permitting you to replace old worn-out washers without
disconnecting the pipes, which saves a great amount of time.
Unscrew the back nut and cut the damaged washer away.
Open the SPLITKLICK Top Hat nylon-plitting washer and slip
it around the threaded tap stem.
Click the washer together.
After aligning the faucet, tighten the back nut. The
patented gripping surface will keep the faucet from moving
(crawling).
