Q. Why would I use a patented SPLITKLICK self-aligning washer?
A. To answer this question, let’s look at the problem in installing a faucet in a ceramic or marble sink, or in Formica cabinet top. Universal size holes are cut in sinks and cabinet tops to permit the installation of faucets with either ½-inch and ¾-inch size stems. The holes are much larger than the faucet stems and there is nothing to keep the faucet in alignment. To install a faucet, you must fill the holes with plumbers putty or silicone to try to hold them in place while you are lying on your back tightening the nut. This usually requires either two people or multiple trips from under to the counter to make sure the alignment is correct. The plumbers putty and the silicone can dry later and allow the faucet to move out-of-alignment.

SPLITKLICK Self-Aligning Washers have three patented alignment feet that fit perfectly to both the faucet stem and the hole making the alignment of the faucet perfect. One trip under the sink to tighten the nuts, and the job is complete saving time and much frustration.

SPLITKLICK Self-Aligning Washers are made of Nylon 6 which is a durable industrial nylon that will not chip or become brittle, will never lose its shape, and is resistant to temperature extremes.

Q. Why should I use a patented SPLITKLICK TOP-HAT WASHER?
A.
To answer this question, we must first look at the problem of installing a faucet to a stainless steel sink. Stainless steel sinks are thin and do not permit the use of a SPLITKLICK alignment washer. Currently, a plastic "top-hat" washer is used when installing a faucet to a stainless steel sink. The plastic washers are smooth and do not grip the stainless steel sink, and they become brittle and crack with time. This is why faucets "crawl" or move around on stainless steel sinks leaving marks on the sinks.

SPLITKLICK TOP-HAT Washers are designed for easy installation of a new faucet or replacement of the old "top-hat" washers. SPLIITKLICK TOP-HAT washers have patented "teeth" that grip the stainless steel sink and will not allow the faucet to "crawl" or move around. Also, the patented klick-apart design permits replacement of old top-hat washers by simply cutting the old washer off, and slipping the SPLITKLICK washer in place – klick it together, tighten the nut, and the problem is solved. The Nylon 6 washers will last a lifetime and keep the faucet in perfect alignment.

Q. Are SPLITKLICK Patented TOP-HAT Washers expensive?
A.
No! It would take approximately 1-hour to turn off the water, unscrew the water lines to the sink, remove the old "top-hat" washer, and replace it with a new "top-hat" washer, replace the water line, and turn the water back on. If a plumber charges $75 per hour, the cost would be $75.

The same repair can be accomplished using SPLITKLICK Patented TOP-HAT washers in less than 15-minutes saving approximately $55.

Q. Are SPLITKLICK Patented Self-Aligning Washers expensive?
A.
No! SPLITKLICK Self-Aligning Washers save about 20 minutes per faucet install.

If you are a professional plumber getting paid by the unit, this permits you to set several additional faucets per day. If you are paying a plumber by the hour, and the rate is $75 per hour, you save approximately $25 on the faucet install. If you are a DIYER, you save several trips under the sink and a lot of frustration.
