Good Day,
My name is Michael and I am a sales associate for an Ace Hardware Store. While thumbing through a retail hardware magazine some months ago, I quickly scanned an article which profiled a recent National Hardware Show and spotted a section outlining the benefits of a new product with which to bond copper pipes without heat. Having had many years of experience in hardware retailing as well as hands on home improvement work it occurred to this writer that such a product could be a miracle.

As retail often is slow to pickup on new items such as “Just For Copper”, I wondered how much time would elapse before it would be available at retail from Ace. Much to my surprise, I was recently surprised to find it in a listing of new Ace retail items. I quickly ordered a sampling as I wanted to check this “stuff” out for myself.

Upon arrival, I made up a sample at my home using a length of copper pipe, some fittings and an air valve. I was amazed to find the product seemed to be everything it was touted to be. Took the sample to my work place and have used it to sell several tubes of the product within a few days. Nothing but positive reviews from my homeowner customers. In fact I have included an email note which one of my customers sent to this writer, and several of his network friends, after using his first tube. For obvious reasons, personal data has been removed from the email:

“I had to replace some copper pipe & valves yesterday and a friend at the hardware store recommended I try a new cold weld product. I’ll never use a torch again! This stuff is awesome. It’s good for temps from -40 to +275 and pressures greater than 500 PSI. You can check them out at – www.justforcopper.com”

Another customer returned to purchase 2 additional tubes. Upon my questioning his use for the product he stated that he made his first purchase a few days before with the idea to try it on one joint near an old dry beam in his cellar. Not being a pro he did not care to use heat at this point. As it turned out, he was installing an entire new bathroom and ended up using “Just For Copper” for the entire project. His purchase of the additional tubes was just so that he would “never be without it”.

Thanks for being a leader in this “miracle” product field. I am pleased to be able to offer “Just For Copper” to my customers. I do apologize for my lengthy ramblings contained herein. However, I thought it important to share with you the experiences which are taking place in the field.

Sincerely,
Michael

Five minutes after I read our reply I was in my local hardware store and picked up the large size JFC, plus a spigot and connectors, and twenty minutes later I was “soldering” my first connector. An hour later I was finished, after returning to the hardware store for a couple more elbows, and ready to test the water pressure. No leaks, cleanup was a breeze, and I’m ready to water the flowers again!

When I’d put away my plumbing tools, which took longer than the pipe cutting and “soldering”, I found one of my D-I-Y friends in my driveway. He was here to borrow my mitre saw and asked what project I was in the middle of. I told him that I’d just got done replacing the spigot that had burst and that I’d done it without his torch and solder, plus I’d done it all in about an hour, including clean-up. He didn’t believe me! He’d just got done finishing off dry-walling his basement after having had a plumber come over to run new hot and cold water lines to a remodeled bath in the basement (new sink, toilet, and shower). Counting plumbing materials and labor he told me (in a vague terms) he’d spent close to $1,200. I told him that I’d spent more for the spigot than the JFC, and that with all of the elbows and 1 foot of pipe that I’d spent less that $50. I’ll omit his expletives! Suffice it to say that he wished that he’d heard of JFC earlier. I then let him check out the product by “soldering” a couple of scrap pieces of copper pipe. After wiping off the excess, he just shook his head and asked me where he could get some. Of course I told him!

Tomorrow I’m off to the home improvement center to buy more pipe and connectors to run that second spigot, because my wife came home and saw how easy it was and immediately asked for it to be done now, and not in three months when we could save up enough to hire a plumber. I’ve done all of my home improvements except for plumbing because I was scared to death of waking up to a flood because I’d missed a solder. To be honest, I’ve been downstairs twice more to check my work, just to be sure. Dry as a bone, inside and out. I’m sleeping well tonight!

Thanks for a wonderful product! I now have the confidence to run a new water line for an additional spigot and am so glad I found your product! JFC and the materials to fix my spigot were less than an hour’s worth of labor from the cheapest plumber I could find. Outstanding! Now to tell all my friends!

I attempted my first plumbing job this past weekend, completely redoing our bathtub fixtures and pipes. I had soldered 5 different joints, but when I turned the water back on I had one leak. I figured that wasn’t too bad. It was my first time trying it and I got 4 out of 5. I would just redo the joint and I would be done. Well, four tries and three hours later I was cussing mad. So mad I called a plumber! He told me he was real backed up, and it would be $200 to come out on the weekend. I didn’t care. I wanted it fixed! I just told him to call when he had a better idea when he could get here. Well, after cooling off a little, I decided to try it one more time. I was out of solder wire, so I had to run down to my local hardware store to get some more. While I was looking for the wire, I saw you product on the shelf. I was very skeptical at first, but I was also desperate. I thought surely they can’t claim it will work it if won’t. I still wasn’t fully convinced so I bought the soldering wire too! Well, I am happy to say that 30 minutes after using your product, I was enjoying our new shower! Oh, and I called the plumber back and cancelled that $200 dollar emergency call! Thank you so much! Most importantly, the wife is happy!! I will tell everyone I know about “Just For Copper”!

Mr. Jackson,
My name is Dave and I previously purchased your product “Just-For-Copper” and was really impressed with its performance. I’ve been telling my friends and coworkers about your product, it really works just as you advertised. The last order that I placed with your company was for one 10g. I would like to purchase two more bottles of “Just-For-Copper” of the same 10g size.

Thank you so much for this wonderful invention. For the homeowner, this material is prefect, especially if you don’t have a lot of experience with soldering! I can’t rave enough about this product, and I wanted to let you all know that.

A little homeowner’s hint: if you ever have trouble soldering copper pipes, like I do when water is present, the following product is unbelievable.
A few weeks ago I was trying to repair some copper water pipes in our N.H. cottage that had frozen and broken over the winter. In discussion with the local hardware store owner, I told him that I had some repairs to do and that I always had trouble trying to solder copper pipe when any water was present as the water acted as a heat sink and even using the old plumbers’ trick of stuffing bread in the line didn’t work for me. He told me that he had a new product that he had personally tested to 200 psi and could be used when water is present. It is called “Just-For-Copper” and is used like you would apply solvent to plastic pipe. It works like a charm.

I would like to order a large size bottle of your product “Just-For-Copper”. This will be our second bottle of your product and think it’s the best thing since sliced bread!

Saw JFC in a local ace hardware store in West Coxsackie, NY. I was in the plumbing department picking up a few things I needed for a small plumbing job. When I saw it, I just figured there is no way this stuff can work. I asked about it and I was shown a joint they had put together in the store. Looked terrific, but in a real world application, something this simple just couldn’t really work.
Long story short, I brought it home and used it on 9 elbows, 1 coupling, and 2 valves – so basically 22 “welds”. It took me about an hour or so and when I turned on the water, I fully expected to be scrambling for the towels and mop – especially since in the area where I am (Sleepy Hollow) we have our own water supply system, and the pressure here is incredible.
I still cannot believe there were, are no leaks, nothing, dry as a bone. I keep running down to check because I still don’t believe it. I hope tomorrow or a month from now I’m not regretting sending this note of thanks, but so far I am very impressed.
One more thing, which I think is very important, I was a New York City Firefighter for 30 years - a retired Captain. I can’t begin to tell you how many “jobs” we responded to, entire homes fully engulfed in fire, as a result from not only inexperienced homeowners or renters, but many times careless “professionals” as well, who did not fully realize the dangers of something as simple as sweating pipes.

I had an occasion to try your “Just-For-Copper” product this week installing some new valves and a hot water heater. I was both amazed and very pleased to see how easy it is to work with. I had to order some over the internet from one of your suppliers, as I could not find it locally despite your “Where To Purchase” listing on your home page.
I plan to order a larger supply in the future so my friends can try it. I don’t often write testimonials, but you certainly deserve one, thanks for a great product –

Joe

Greg,
I am the one you talked to last week about this impossible hot water heater. You may want to use only bits and pieces of this narrative for a testimonial. I have a picture of it attached so you can appreciate the difficult situation it presents. One handyman already cut lines and pulled it out from under its hiding place but didn't fix one leak up near the front- where you see the new shiny copper pieces I installed with JFC. [A relief valve was piped in there, probably from 1978 and that was what he didn't address (or listen to me when I said it leaked there)]. So anyway it would have cost another $300 to repair the leftover leak. Well my spouse kept trying to sweat these fittings that have no 360 access and failed each time. We didn't want to cut the lines again and pull it out from the
counter, because we didn't want to cut the cold lines (2nd floor condo, and if there were problems with the cold supply we have to shut the water to the building off, affecting another condo owner besides mine). So it was my turn to try and I wasn't thrilled, seeing the limitations. I don't sweat pipes and never have, nor do I want to; however, I have done considerable pipefitting when I worked in chemical engineering but this was pipe-thread and compression fitting only. Now, somehow I stumbled across this JFC product and thought I would give it a try. After a few practice tries with scrap tubing, I was confident to try JFC on the hot water heater. Once the pipe and connectors were fit properly, I applied the JFC and after the wait, I was totally amazed that this product works! I had no leaks! A week later now, still no leaks! I am totally in awe over this, and how we struggled with this prior to finding JFC!

Hi, I just had to contact you at Just-For-Copper. I'm so impressed with this product. I’LL TELL YA I was replacing a water heater and had the whole thing plumbed in when I found out that the water heater had a leak. I just cut the lines and put in unions with your product. I just didn't think it would be possible to glue metal pipe together to hold under 300 psi with no problem. THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT!

Scott
